All Out! Pink Draught for the Pink Test

We went ‘All Out’ to make a special pink-hued beer to support individuals and their families in the fight against breast cancer.

We’re at the SCG! What an honour to be part of the city’s most memorable sporting moments.

The cricket community has always been a part of 4 Pines’ extended family. Sponsoring the Manly Warringah District Cricket Club and walking over to the Manly Oval to enjoy the game and support our local players is something we’ve done for a long time.

At the SCG, the New Year’s Test is the fundraising focal point for the entire cricket community in Sydney.

Pinking up and raising awareness for breast cancer is a cause that the community rallies behind year after year. It’s an event not to be missed – and we wanted to go all out.

All Out! Pink Draught

When it was about time for the legendary Pink Test, our Brew Team came up with a pretty big idea to support the community we love.

We figured if the cricket community, both on and off the field, were going to show up in pink in support for the great work that the McGrath Foundation does, we were going to brew some pink beer to help fundraise.

Five months in the making, the resulting rosy-hued beverage ‘added the pink from the signature range of Kookaburra balls with the blush from a soaked-Sydney rainbow’.

Fans got a crisp refreshing lager, mid-strength but full of flavour… perfect for a day at the cricket.

A darn good cause

Over ten years ago, the Sydney Pink Test/Jane McGrath Day started in the SCG members reserve and has grown to take the attention of the cricketing world. It has become a national phenomenon and is the largest sporting fundraising initiative in Australia.

As a part of our 1 For The Community program, 50 cents from every 4 Pines All Out! Pink Draught sold was donated to the McGrath Foundation, the proceeds of which go towards filling the gap in McGrath Breast Care Nurses around Australia.

Over 26,000 pink beers were sold across 4 Pines venues and the SCG. The resulting donation totalled over $13,000.

We’re looking forward to supporting this cause again to support one of the many communities we love.
