Three New Venues

Three new venues!

Inspired by the tenacity of Eric the Eel, the passion of Lleyton Hewitt and the timing of Steven Bradbury, we’re excited to announce that we are expanding our Northern Beaches footprint with the roll-out of three new venues over the next year!

Joining our original Manly BrewPub and Brookvale Brewery Truck Bar which launched last year will be a barrel-aged beer concept in Newport, a beer and bread hospitality hub in Belrose and a new eatery underneath the BrewPub in Manly.

Barrel-aged beers, a range of breads and a plethora of new dishes have been trialled in the Manly BrewPub over the last few years, so it’s fair to say these concepts have been a while in development. Vigorous testing was carried out on a range of subjects including but not limited to Manly locals, unsuspecting tourists and the Russian Track and Field team. We’re proud to say all results were positive.

4 Pines Manly Underground
A new eatery beneath our original brewpub in Manly, Underground will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Long term 4 Pines Executive Chef Rob de Paulo heads up the kitchen which will be a step away from the pub-focused dishes upstairs, with more of a produce-driven and seasonal menu. To launch in spring.

4 Pines Newport Barrelhouse
Barrel-aged beer was never part of a master plan but brewer Garrett Sherman’s sheer willpower to get this over the line made it impossible to ignore. He has been tinkering around with recipes over the last few years and his experimentation has created some absolutely mouth-watering (sometimes literally, always figuratively) results. The opportunity to move this from a passion project to a permanent feature in the 4 Pines beer repertoire has meant Garrett’s brought in the collective experience of the 4 Pines brewing team to get a little wild with creative concepts. The nature of using wine and whisky barrels means there’s always some tweaks to be made to flavour profiles but this ongoing refinement is producing a better class of beer. By the time this venue launches early summer, there will be a range of top-notch barrel-aged beers available that have been aging for anything from six to twenty four months.

4 Pines Belrose
This beer and bread concept will open in the Glen Street Theatre in Belrose in 2017. Bread-making is a natural progression for us at 4 Pines which first started with our own stout bread in the Manly BrewPub since 2010, using the same principles of craftsmanship for brewing beer, for bread. As well as selling fresh bread daily, you’ll be able to pop into 4 Pines Belrose for a drink and dinner pre or post theatre, a mid-week lunch, a quick coffee while the kids are at sports practice or a cheeky pint. Open seven days a week from brunch to dinner.

It’s exciting times for us at 4 Pines and the Northern Beaches community. Ged Dore our Chief of Hospitality is leading the venue openings and doesn’t want to keep a lid on it any longer… it’s something that has come as a natural fit for our business and we’ve had the tick of approval from the local community. Barrel-aged beers are something we’ve been working on for years and they’re just starting to get talked about a bit more, so it’s great timing to be able to launch a venue that that specialises in them.

We’re looking forward to sharing our love of beer and great hospitality with more beer lovers!
